Building upon our support for the launch of the new Developer magazine at MIPIM earlier this year we will be supporting their inaugural Festival of Place this summer. It marks our shared desire to design and build communities that flourish, where people want to live, work, play and learn. We will also be co-hosting a Sponsors’ dinner with the Developer magazine on the evening before the event.

The 1-day event will transform London’s Tobacco Dock into a hub for makers of place on 9 July 2019. Bringing together developers, investors, cities, government, cities, government, planners, scientists, academics and designers to unlock how to make places thrive.

The event will be orientated around key questions facing makers of place, from ‘What makes a neighbourhood worth living in?’, and ‘What is the future of downtown?’ to ‘What is a truly Smart City?’ Speakers will include the President of the Times Square Alliance, the President of the European Network for Child-friendly Cities, and the Chief Executive of the Design Council among many more.

With topics geared around climate risk, inclusion and smart cities, the Festival of Place promises to be a forward-thinking forum for the discussion of the future of place, and we are happy to play our part in supporting such vital conversations.
