The document provides the preliminary functional and technical requirements (RIBA Stage 1) for the 28 nuclear and non-nuclear facilities in relation to the current Engineering Site Plan, Masterplan and Vision and Infrastructure of the Moorside site. This includes both specifications of standards of quality and a brief for the development of the project.
Our concept provides a clear and coherent set of architectural, access and environmental parameters for the development of each one of the building. The work aims at integrating high-quality architectural design with the essential engineering, safety and security requirements of the project.
We use data-driven vehicle and personnel flow analysis to determine the optimal distribution of access and security points both site-wide and for specific buildings. This resulted in a reduction of man-hours and physical structures therefore improving overall efficiencies and environmental impact of the project.
