Oliver is a key member of the education team and has worked on a significant number of secondary and further education projects. These projects have provided experience ranging from creating and developing initial concepts all the way through to site liaison with contractors’ teams. In addition to working across a number of other sectors including defence, mixed- use and residential, Oliver has specific experience and expertise in working with buildings of historical significance, including listed buildings and those in conservation areas. He balances an understanding of the need to preserve the original integrity of a building with the cost and programme considerations that often prevail, particularly in education environments. His considerate approach has resulted in successful refurbishments that have rejuvenated existing buildings that are appropriate in both their aesthetic and pragmatism. The approach also considers all of the involved parties from end users through to the construction team. Recent schemes include Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater and South Thames College in Wandsworth. Oliver has recently relocated to the Singapore office for 6 months.
